Why should you polish and clean your stone?

Many clients are quite amazed at how their stone comes up after proper cleaning and polishing. Stone is a lovely material that allows us to continually resurface and renew it by removing fine layers. This stone resurfacing process removes most scratches, etches, stains and anything else that is not supposed to be there. Then for added effect wee deep steam clean most stone that we work on. Deep steam cleaning stone will penetrate deeply into the pours removing even the most ingrained dirt and grime. On particularly dirty limestone and marble tiles and worktops this steam cleaning really lightens it up as it draws out the dirt.

Then if proper maintenance and sealing is undertaken going forward you can keep your stone tiles and worksurfaces looking new and fresh indefinitely!

Slate cleaning and sealing

Slate is a durable natural stone however it can also soon become dull , scratched and dirty. We can deep clean your slate tiles and fireplace hearths and seal  them thoroughly to blacken and enrich them. We are able to remove all scratches and polish up slate fireplace hearths.

In this pic you can see slate patio tiles that we have deep cleaned and are now in the process of sealing and darkening the slate. Slate is naturally a fairly dull colour , similar to black limestone. So what we can do is temporarily darken and enrich slate to make it look fantastic! Sealers are said to last a few years so we can always show you how to reapply in the years to come.

Here you can see a slate fireplace hearth that was very etched and scratched. We resurfaced polished and blackened it. Making it look as new again.
